TechTALK: Gaming at the Hardware Boundaries

TechTALKS Stage South Thursday, July 11
1:30pm to 3:30pm

Since the launch of the commercial video game industry in the 1970’s, hardware and gaming have been inextricably linked. From driving the latest in processing and rendering capabilities to impacting the interactivity of a game through the design of its controllers, hardware and games have had a synergistic relationship that continually pushes each other’s boundaries. In this session, we explore key emerging areas within games—such as AI, VR, and wearables—that both expand the application of hardware to different (and often unexpected) contexts such as healthcare & training; and push its current capabilities.
